I enjoyed it, but it is a shame that they still feel they have to punt each other off.
The observers should ensure they are disqualified for that. The race should be won by driving skills etc. and not by "Stock Car" standards.

I agree that I would rather see skill win the race than who has the biggest bumper, but that's what F1 is for!

I went to Hockenheim to watch the last race of the DTM and it was no where near as exciting as BTCC. For a start there is only Audi and Mercedes in it and all the cars look identical. The only differnce between them if you can't tell the difference between the bonnet badges is the exhausts on the Mercs is on a different side to the exhaust on the Audi. Sure the cars look and sound mean enough but nothing like the half dozen manufacturers in BTCC, also none of the argy bargy either.

Perhaps you should mention that to the odd F1 driver then!
I know its old fashioned, but I always treated track racing as a sporting occasion, it was when I went in times gone past. Of course one can expect a bit of accidental contact with closed wheel cars, but deliberate punting off should be stamped on by the organisers. It is also dangerous at those speeds.
I don't actually find it entertaining to see cars crashing anyway. If I did then I could always attend the demolition derby at the local stadium!
The old saloon car races in earlier times were always very entertaining to watch, especially Minis mixing it with Jaguars etc. No deliberate crashes, very rarely any at all in fact, but people always looked forward to seeing them.
If you find that difficult to believe, then try watching them at the Goodwood Revival meetings.
