Default ebay fees ?

Afternoon all !

As a true Yorkshireman, I want to do a deal locally for an item ( one of eight ) on ebay... what would the seller's fees be for a £200 item ?

So I can barter him down to cost price !

T.I.A.

It can be, if including Paypal fee's, up to 20%, but more likely around 15%.

Bloody joke and is why I steer clear of selling on there anymore.

Listing fee, plus 10% of the final transaction value then paypal takes 3.5% so all in quite a bit!

To be honest thats a fairly average price for selling something where you can advertise to a very wide audience, where you are able to use a host website and is very straight forward to use and relatively hastle free, well when selling locally anyway. The problems arise when you start selling item further afield and take paypal as they offer all the protection to the purchaser and non to the seller. It is very easy to get stung on there which is why any items I sell over £35 are local pick up only.
