Default Payment Protection Insurance?

Just claimed this back from Egg on behalf of my wife.

After EXACTLY eight weeks, (the time you must wait before referring them to the Ombudsman), they have written to her refunding £722, "as a gesture of goodwill".

We did this via the MoneySaving website, cost us ONE first class stamp.

Result.

What did she break?

Was it on a loan or credit card?

£10 for SIX screws! Still won't be doing THAT!

It was on a loan, she took it out a couple of years back, recently paid off, I noticed that PPI had been added, we normally refuse it, apparently they never asked, just stuck it on.........

Paid us back all our payments plus interest on it.

I had an egg card and Im sure they just added PPI without even asking me .

Yes, download the questionaire, fill it in as fully as you can, sign and post it.
Eg refunded me.

Lloyds TSB, of course, put my son's on hold while the government and the courts decide what to do about the law. But THEY were the ones who wouldn't put ANY of his accounts on hold when HE was out of work: they just kept adding interest and charges! B@stards!
