Day V Lately or J.R Hartley
I'm sure some won't even remember the original yellow pages ad, but had everyone realised how they have almost copied the original lol
Nerd fact I know, but it's funny watching the old one.
And the, "do you have an R186 signal box"
Few strange ads on recently, like the Rimmel 25 hour makeup one with the horse as the face for it, and the Ginsters where he is begging for one, even though he has one in his hands.

Lol no s**t Sherlock . I'm not saying copying in a bad way just that some people would not have remembered the first one, so not realise the "awww" factor.
Lol yeah the book was fly fishing the signal box was the little lad with the piggy bank lol. Watched them on YouTube, memories!

I also like the Spec Savers ad when she runs up the railway platform and kisses the wrong man

Prefer the first one too, the last is probably some advertising guy who thought we all had short memories, sometimes you just cant beat the original (though most of the time you can, this just isnt one of those times )

The JRH one was brilliantly conceived and acted - you genuinely felt for the dear old bloke. It was a feelgood ad. It's gentleness and innocence was a refreshing change from all the big bad corp. ads out there DEMANDING your money via cynical techniques, etc.
