Was anyone remotely concerened that the woman in Driven last night managed to pass the boot camp even though she hit all the bales when reversing. Hope she never tries to park beside me

what concerned me was they were putting Corsa Boy against the clock in a hazzard ridden scenario when I thought the whole point was to get him to slow down and stop driving like a tosser

no, all wrong it was the other woman.
Had to drive in a straight line - move over 12 feet, slow down, move back, accelerate and repeat.
Now call me cynical but the fact she didn't leave enough room for a lorry to pass and a ******* runway is a bit scary.
And that bloke, was in a corsa - buy a real car!

The young lad can drive in the sense that he has the skills but just needs to be able to use them...........however the two women should not be on the roads!! There control of the car was terrible.

WTF ???
at least the two women admitted there shortcomings.
who ever got killed by a badly parking driver or a nervous one frightened of speed.
i curse slow drivers every day but id much rather have the two women on the road anyday in preference to the tosser in the corsa.
his approach to driving is i can do no wrong and i can do it faster than anyone else, his control around the cones was appaling even after being told what to do and in his own car.

I agree he was crap and over confident in his limited abilities but he did (after a while) accept that he had a lot to learn and didn't know everything. It's a good place to start and I think he'll improve as a driver......the two women. well I think either could drive. The timid one would be a hazard on a busy motorway, while the dizzy one just didn't appear to concentrate on what she was doing.
I think a lot of us (even though we'd hate to admit it) were a bit like the young lad. You do tend to feel a bit bullet proof at that age.

I was there on the first shake out day 12 people from 1000 were chosen, i put my girlfriend up for the prog as she has a phobia about motor/dual carrige ways which stemmed from just avoiding the back end of a motorway pile up a few years back, the guys doing the tuition were from the pro-drivers company, and were actually quite good at putting nervious types at "relative" ease. the lad chosen was not in my opinion the worst "type of agressive" driver there that day, there were the get out and punch types if you held them up at a junction.
There was talk of trying to expand the program, which if if it actually gets some of the "bad" drivers to think, this would at least make things a little better on the road.

wouldnt be a bad idea for another program
trouble is how many men would you get on admitting to be a bad driver
And there was far too much stupid padding marching around the parade ground as usual "driven" wore the very unfunny joke out till it was just annoying.
i would much rather have seen more in depth footage of the training techniques.
