You need the snow foam lance according to the website.

I've got what I think is the next model up. Got it refurbed off Hal website. It's good when it works but it failed after a few uses and had to be returned. I've got it back now but I think it's a matter of time before it fails again. I've got the detergent bottle but it seemed pretty useless when I tried it with diluted normal car shampoo which was gone very quickly - maybe it needs to be concentrate so it's more viscous - I'll have to have another go with it at some stage.

Is the pressure from these enough to blast away the dirt... or are they a bit lacking?

I started a thread a couple of weeks ago with the intentions of snow foaming, and bought a Nilfisk washer which cones with a 2 year warranty. It's a great bit of kit and quite compact.

I got this yoke and its ****. Don't bother wasting your money as it has no power whatsoever behind it for lifting dirt.

The hoses also wear out very quickly and the locking mechanism for the hoses is plastic and pops off every so often. Mine is destroyed.

I find the washer fine for cars, you dont need too much power.
The snow foam attachment is pants however I use my old karcher attachment (which blew up) and that works great.

i have used one of these for 15 months now brought as needed one quick after 2 £100 karchers broke after few months, and its surprised me still going strong@35 quid there a bargain with enough power for cars as you dont want to remove the paint do you.

i use it with this snow foam gun/end used Kew/Alto/Nifisk

I thought if it was too powerful it strips away any LSPs. I use a hose which gets rid of gritty dirt before using a 2 bucket method. Never had a scratch and works well.

Phil, if you to one of the detailing supplies website you'll find the snow foam lances.
Just tell them which jet washer you've got and they'll attach the corresponding lance attachment.

I bought one a few years ago for my Nilfisk, it's very well made with heavy brass fittings with adjustable nozzle, but I've only used it twice.

A soft broom should help get rid of the obstinate dirt etc. Blasting often wont manage it.

I nearly did and I wouldn't call myself a detailer. No poor Subaru should be subjected to a broom. My Father in law uses a broom on his Ford C max, as he doesnt car about cars and has utterly destroyed the paint work. I think it used to be black.

I've done a bit of snow foaming when I got home tonight. used my £35 jet wash from HALFORDS as well, works a tread, not to powerfull and light weight it's easy to move round.

car needed a wash after all the road grit thrown up from a gritter on Sunday night.

Subaru's are made from tin foil, so even the softest duster could do some damage.

In fairness, for £35, if it breaks after 12months you just chuck it and buy another

to be fair I'm still playing withthe **** on the top and I only put about 1:1/2" of SF in the bottle then top it up with water.
Also by the time I found my camera a lot had ran off.

Because I had it detailed last May and it's never needed foaming since.
I haven't even used the jet wash on it since - so much wax on the car that just a normal garden hose is enough to blast whatever ****e gets on it, off.

Quick Reply: Halfords Jet Wash @ £35. is it alright?
