It could happen in the next 2 years, or the next million years. If it's the latter I might get neck ache stood waiting to see it.

It has to have already happened for the light to travel to our eyes to see the event. So here is hoping it happened 640 years ago!

It WOULD be seriously cool though! Several weeks of 24 hour daylight! Let's just hope it happens during the UK Summer - My BBQ Parties would go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, GO ON!

That would be pretty cool, but as above, the chances must be very remote of it happening within our lifetimes.

It would be about as bright as the full moon or a bit more. Visible during the day, but only just casting a shadow at night.

Depends on what time of year it happened. If it's during our winter, it should be visible during the day as a bright point. If during the summer, it should light up the night sky and probably mean no real darkness for a few weeks. We won't get any additional heat from it.

Yes but they keep saying the oppsite to whatever actually happens, so it must mean Global Cooling!

And wouldn't they be able to tell by looking at the star through a telescope to see if it's already happened?
