Shocked by this news, didn't even know he was ill

I was a big Japan fan in my teens and loved his first solo album "Titles" just listening to it on the pod as I type this.

He and Paladino were my favorite fretless bass players of the time.

Sad to hear that he's died. However, him and Paladino did me moobs in. That bass sound was ubiquitous in the 80's, popping up everywhere and sounding like a pissed-up frog chewing bubbly-gum.
