Advise needed Freeview+ box
I'm trying to find a reasonable Freeview+ box, it's for my wifes Grandma.
It needs to be very simple to use for recording (similar system to Sky+/ V+)
And a remote which is pretty simple.
She doesn't want a monthly subscription from sky or Virgin and definately doesn't need HD either.
She currently has a freeview/recorder/dvd player combined and she can't use it at all, well the recording part anyway, in her defence it is stupidly complicated.
So I need to find a box at a reasonable price, preferably under £100 and nice and simple to use, any suggestions?

I have a relatively cheep one from asdas own brand range.
Its simple to use and does the job quite well.
A few month ago I got my mum a Humax one for her birthday. Id read on-line they were the easiest to use, that wasn't the case.
It takes about 5 minutes to switch on, there's 3 different modes of standby so you never know which one your in. The menus are a nightmare, been trying to teach her how to use it for months now and to be honest the thing still confuses me.
Every time she wants to record or watch something I have to set it up.

We have a Sony Freeview/HDD/DVD recorder that's really simple and intuitive. Got the m-in-law a Panasonic after a sales bod reckoned they were the simplest to use and I find that much more complicated.

Avoid the Thomson topup tv ones they're ****e. I'd recommend the humax all depends how clever your grandma is. I see customers in their 80's that can work stuff and some in their 60's that can't. All down to the individual.

Its called double spacing. far better than a line of text all squished up and looking lonesome, and because you cant tell where the wordwrap is going to occur with this weird formatting option we have, it means that there is some bizarre but consistent formatting....btw my guess is that the line return will occur about the word "formatting", but who knows??
Mart
It was "cant" ...see at least i know that the word wrap i want is this one
and then all my words can be made to wrap around the same place ..
method in the madness
