I loved how empty the ground was at the end of the day!

Watching the highlights on Sky now.

I started and couldn't believe my eyes. You were very committed to wait through the rain.

yep matched started again at 2.50am. if pietersen gets dug in like a tick on a bow legged dog, it might be a declaration halfway through day 3. then another 30 overs to bowl out the ozzy excuses for batsmen and have an extra rest day

The Aussie team will be starting to attract a cult following pretty soon. Look out for the vampires and gothic types in the crowd

When the 26th December falls on a Sunday, traditionally Boxing Day is moved to the 27th December, supposedly to maintain Sunday church-going and other Sunday observance[citation needed]. In Britain, Boxing Day is sometimes mistakenly celebrated on the following day after Christmas Day, which is 26 December. However, Boxing Day is the first Saturday or weekday after Christmas (see definition in the Oxford English Dictionary). Like Christmas Day, Boxing Day is a bank holiday (public holiday) throughout Britain. When Christmas Day falls on a Friday or Saturday, Boxing Day, which is a bank holiday, is the following Monday.

Mine a Guinness please.

I woke up around 4 last night and turned on just in case we were still in with a chance

Great news and even better when I turned on again this morning. Kept me chirpy all day and can't wait for tonight.

I can even put up with Mr "when-I-was-playing-at-'Edingley-back-in-1903" Boycott

It is brilliant - every time Boycott says something the opposite happens!

Complains about Prior who then has a great innings!

All on target to a fantastic (and hopefully short) fifth day!

Boycott claimed it was a great batting track on the opening morning and Autralia would post a huge total...... whoops!

Love it, what a fantastic boost for the England team this will be. It doesn't get better than retaining the Ashes at the MCG.
