iPhone resell value
I have to say that I'm impressed that the iPhone holds its value. I just sold my 16gb 3G for £200 on Gumtree. It was in good condition but even so ...
And with that bought an unlocked two month old Samsung Galaxy S which obviously doesn't hold its value. Quite a cool phone though.

No it cost £180 -- as new but without a box. Had to reflash it with 2.2 and permanently remove the Orange lock.
SteveBT: It is much better than the iPhone 3G, slightly better than my wife's 3GS and not as polished as the iPhone 4. Android is still a little flaky in places and the phone is prone to crash occasionally. I don't think the iPhone ever crashed.

Always used to sell my nokias for around £100 but that was after 12mths so was impressed to sell my 18th mth old 3g 8gb for £200 on fleabay. Nearer £185 once you take into account fees but still £50 is worth the extra hassle to flog rather than recycle.
Iphone 4 was £129 so made money

Just because you can get 600 mobile minutes, unlimited landline calls, 500 texts and unlimited Internet for £10 a month does not mean those £40 to £65 iPhone tariffs are over priced!
The call quality and coverage is obviously going to be better than anything else available from any network, people are not stupid!
