How to update TOMTOM....
I have a TOMTOM XL IQ ROUTE, which is a great sat nav, I have had it just over a year and wanted to find out how to update the cameras and roads, as sometimes it says there are average speed cameras but they have now been removed? The sat nav didn't come with any additional cables to connect to my laptop so do I need a cable? And is there a site where you can update for free??

you will need a usb cable and download TomTom Home , you will have to pay for updated maps and cameras!
I use Pocket GPS World for the cameras, they are supposed to have the best database,not free but not bad price either!

Updated the wifes tomtom, was about £40 for map updates for uk and Ireland, and I believe another £20 for camera updates but didn't bother with that part
Edidted to say the above costs are for 12 months subscription so you can update 4 times in the 12 months
