Default Office Air Con

Guys

We have aircon units(2 I think) installed in a server room in a concrete constructed/brick office.
Now - a few people who would be sitting above that room are complaining about freezing cold feet.

Is it possible that this could be because of the aircon?

Tell em to put thicker socks on

Not sure if this would cause it, it depends on your aircon setup. We have a double floor thing in our server room so the air con blows out the bottom of the unit straight under the floor and comes up through vents in the floor. if yours is venting out the top then it is possible but I find it unikely as there is probably a concrete floor between the AC unit and them, not to mention raised floor upstairs with carpet on it.

@the socks comment - I already did

Aircon setup.
2 units - wall mounted at the top, one on the left and the other on the right
I think they just blow cold air slightly downwards.

Yes - it is a reinforced concrete floor
I don't think its raised though - but I don't really know what you mean by that.

Carpet under their feet too - but that crappy old stuff thats only a few mill thick.

By raised I mean there is usually a double floor in offices the concrete floor then a raised wooden one made of tiles above it so that all the cables are under the floor and come up through little boxes under the desks.there is normally 6 inches to a foot gap between the 2 floors depending.

Ah right, I see.
The suspended ceiling that would be then - completely forgot about that.

Right - not a chance of all that cold air coming through then.

Nope not really. Could there be a void somewhere nearby which is allowing cold air to blow over the floor? easy to check too.
