A few years ago me n our lass went to mexico, we had to pay a tax at the airport on the way in and on the way out, we had to pay in American dollars, well we are travelling back there in a few days and have now been told it is to be paid in local currency we have also been told it still needs to be paid in Dollars

I just wondered if anyone had been recently and could clear this up

It isnt the amount thats the problem, its the currency needed, we have been told that we need local currency at the resort ( the last time we went we could use either local currency or American Dollars) and we need to pay the tax in Dollars so I dont want to have surplus Dollars that we cant spend while we are there
