Am just up the road from it all, but luckily I got the train in today.

Apparently they are burning their own placards , I assume to keep warm. They will be gutted when they realise that they have now lost their deposit from the "hire a placard company "

Mate of mine a serco engineer had to be escorted by the police to sort out the traffic lights in Trafalgar square. Thing was he beat the police escort and fixed the problem before the escort could get to him

Stoopid 'students' have been successfully manipulated by the hard left who have completely undermined whatever legitimacy their 'protest' may have had.

Need a few more years of the Tories before they can come up with something to generate that amount of ill feeling.

Disgusting. I hope they use all the photographic evidence to prosecute each and every one that broke the law. Animals.

Not really looking into the whole student thing, but,i can see a valid point to argue for putting i think i heard a £9k a term course,if,that course allows the student to then help out, like a nurse or doctor or some other form of help etc,if its a personal choice, say, hippy type course of social engineering or i like to heal people with my spoon, then fair play for charging, swings n roundabouts i guess

And meanwhile Scottish students and European students (except the English) get their fees paid by the taxpayer if they study in Scotland.

It's also cheaper even for English students to study in Scotland than it is in England (about 1/2 the price) although this might be slightly counteracted by the fact that in some cases the courses are longer.

Student tuition fees. Were they not introduced by New Labour in 1998.

The poll tax was fair, everyone should pay their fair share, I used to pay less than £350 for my council tax / rates bill it has now gone up to £1600, if my wages had gone up accordingly I be happy, we have to address the issue not hide from it, and that anger should be directed at the previous government. Tossers.
