IPod Docks... Anyone got a decent one?
Hi Guys,
I have just finished renovating a room into a dining room and quite fancy a nice simple Ipod dock on the side unit somewhere, but something a little bit tasty.
Anyone have any experience of them?

B&W Zeppelin - one of the best (and probably most expensive) you can buy.

I have an Onkyo mini system for the bedroom that came with a dock. That's pretty cool too.

I have an ipod touch and the B&W Zeppelin in our largeish kitchen, originally wanted something with DAB but you can download apps for the radio station of your choice.

It's gorgeous, and sound fills the room easily. Price is a little high, but I had just renovated our kitchen so it came out of that budget.

I have a Klipsch one as they came very very highly recommended
Klipsch iGroove SXT is the model I have. Nice and plain and simple looking which is perfect as its for my bedroom
What about of those fatman docks? Simple enough but looks a bit special if its out on display? http://www.fat-man.co.uk/

Another vote for the Zeppelin
Didn't actually end up buying one in the end as I changed my entire system instead but this was the one that was top of my list after testing a few.

I have one of these
http://www.slashgear.com/pure-i-10-ipod-dock-1516216/
It takes a line-out signal from the ipod which I have plugged in to Amp and speakers. Better than a crappy all in one unit in my opinion. The amp I have is a T-amp like this
Really small and cheap, but great piece of kit (google it to see reviews).
As always, custom set up all the way

I was in a similar position a couple of months back, I went through about 5 ipod docks, all in the price range of £100-£200 before sending them back and buying a stereo with an ipod dock.
I prefer the much deeper sound from a Hi-Fi stereo system. These docks are good for the bedroom and little rooms but if you want to have a ''house party'' sound, get yourself a decent hi-fi. You need the speakers separated at a distance to fill a room, and you just dont get that from a small compact speaker dock.
