Default A Little Halloween Help

Basically at work on Saturday we are having a charity fundraising day and part of my role is to make a Halloween related quiz. Now I could just copy and paste a quiz, but I'd rather put in a little more effort (plus alot of the free ones are a bit crap imo).

It would be really appreciated if some of you guys could put some question suggestions forward to help me out a little (with the answers please). I'm asking for a bit help as I don't want to make the quiz too hard or too easy, or too boring

I've never made a quiz before so I don't want it to be crap.

Thank you in advance.

Questions like

Why is it traditional to dress in scary costumes on Halloween?

An old roman catholic tradition that was done to stop the souls of the dead re entering their bodys on this night.

What was halloween traditionally know as?

All-Hallows-Even ("evening") or All Hallowes Eve.

If I think of some more I will pop them on.

Why do we carve pumpkins?

An old Celtic tradition. Based on a s
myth about 'Jack' or 'Stingy Jack' who tricked the devil and as a result was left in 'limbo' unaccepted to heaven or he'll because of his behavior. He lives in limbo with only a turnip lit by a lighted peice of coal to light his way.

I'm sure it could be simplified further.

Q. True or False: The largest pumpkin pie ever made was more than five feet in diameter and weighed more than 350 pounds. It used 80 pounds of cooked pumpkin, 36 pounds of sugar, and 12 dozen eggs, and it took six hours to bake.

A. True. 1 point bonus if they add that it took BigSinky 15 mins to eat it all

True or False: Bram Stoker's novel, Dracula, published in 1896, was based loosely on the real-life Vlad Dracula (1431-1476). He was a prince who actually did live in Transylvania in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania.

False: It was published in 1897

(That will get a few groans )
