It's an ill wind...........
Our Xantia suffered an unexpected driver's side door mirror removal Tuesday night 
Wednesday saw me buy a replacement from a local breakers for £10, but the only one I could get was electrically operated whereas the driver's side on our car was manual.
Not to worry, I thought I'd fit it anyway, and manually adjust.........but of course, manually moving an electric mirror isn't easy.
Think again...........OK, get the switch, some connectors, and let's see.
An hour's thought and experimentation saw me discover how the switch worked, and how to wire it up. I tapped into the live for the electric windows and found an earth on the door, fitted it and away it went
When I get some warmer weather I'll make the same switch operate the passeneger side one as well. Didn't do it Wednesday as I was bl**dy perished working outside
