tax. self assesment question
ok well registered self employed in may last year, year ended april 5th, i dont my self assement online a month or so ago and completed no problems atal.
when will i receive something through the post, ie my tax return for 09-10?

You should get a statement of the amount to pay or refund (for payment in Jan 2011 and on account to be paid in July 2011) usually by the end of this month or early November.
If they owe you then you should get it by the end of Feb. next year.
Although saying that, if you haven't quite had a years trading you may not need to pay anything until Jan 2012.

If you've completed it online then you can log in and see your statement showing you how much you owe and when you need to pay it by.

I had mine in around the 12th-13th April and the money they owed was in my account a week later. It was the first time i had done it online too.
