Does anyone want a couple of tickets for Jean Michel Jarre (Tomorrow O2)
Off to see this tomorrow, the couple we were going with have had to drop out.
So, if anyone fancies making me an offer for these (They were approx £50 each) then drop me a PM.
Just to confirm It's at the O2 10/10/10

YouTube him. Done some amazing shows in his time, usually quite a crazy display, seen him twice before. His music gets used in programs from time to time.
But certainly not everyones cup of tea.

One of the first and a pioneer of electronic music also look for Kraftwerk
The techie stuff you see today with the likes of Daft Punk, Faithless and so on - chances are Jean did it first on the 70's and 80's and with a lot less gadgets
He's cool!
I would love to go and see the show live

Pioneer of electronic music? I think not!
Well he's not exactly Kraftwerk is he!
Apologies to any fans, I heard him on Johnny Walker last week and he didn't sound like a total c88t

So, who in your opinion where the pioneers then do tell???
If you read my post you will see that i said '"also look for Kraftwerk" - not that he is part of them, more as another group pioneering the genre back in the 70's/80's.
I think you will find he was one of the first to really use and abuse the first of the Moog synths using lasers ans other tech as part of his show
Not too sure his personality is at all relevant, it is his talent and creativity that really count. as long as he isn't kicking babies or eating them then i is Ok in my book.

What's the latest you would need to know? Incase i can pull one out the hat.
He puts on a fantastic show, Destination Docklands was mind-blowing. Rendevouz Houston shut the city down, some amazing footage of that. And the laser harp........genius!

Er, I think so.
He bought a VCS3 synth in 1967 and had his first sales success in 1976 with Oxygene an album made with just 4 analogue synths and an 8 track.
He then went on to pioneer the use of such synths as the Fairlight CMI and other elctronic instrumenst such as the laser harp.
His shows are a breathtaking mix of elecronic music and stunning visual effects and he has been at the forefront of electronic music for 35 years.

He has indeed been genius all along, watching the docu about rendezvous Houston brought it all back. 1.3 million watched it live lol. Closed highways, and a whole city at a stand still.
There are certain tracks that you need to be in the right mood for, but some crackers too. League of it's own.
