Default iPad: Questions

Having played with the iPad for a couple of days now I am quite impressed, although I'm not sure how useful it'll be longterm as I miss features on a laptop like typing documents etc..

Anyway, I have a couple of questions:

Can I stream (DivX) movies from a NAS similiar to what can be done with the PS3 or Xbox? I have seen StreamToMe, but that appears to only go from a PC.

What other applications are great for the iPad? The iPhone ones work well (like Angry birds, LogMeIn), but anything specific for the iPad?

Thanks,

Steve

VLC now has an app for the iPad. Not sure if it'll allow you to stream media to it though, but it's free, so worth downloading to look. StreamToMe does have a mac version, or according to this it does. Might be worth checking out that link as well.

Other good apps, hmm, well, Kobo for eReading Plants vs Zombies is meant to be a rather good game.

VLC is very good and easy to drag things from the PC or Server.
