Default Anyone Upgraded Their Tomtom Recently?...

Hi troops,
I have a Tomtom one (small screen) which is rapidly becoming a hinderance rather than a help- doesn't seem to know where it's going any better than I do!

We have a power lead already hardwired in the car and I like the Tomtom menu/interface so I'd like to get another one. Trouble is there are plenty of versions about. We have a budget of around £130. Can anyone recommend me one?

Has anyone experienced slow updating of screen movement (i.e going round a roundabout and not being able to see where you're supposed to turn off because the screen doesn't catch up in time. And also the satnav getting confused about where it is from time to time. I don't want to get rid of one only to get another with the same traits.

Any help is much appreciated.

Mike.

My First tom tom was stolen and I stupidly set up the second one on the same account so now it goes nuts when I plug the new unit in saying it's not recognised. It's an old unit so is probably due for the bin anyway.

I have an old one .... I use it as an advisory device only .... I'm old enough to be able to use my common sense and a roadmap

I did this last time went to France - after having owned it for several years lol

I have a oldish TomTom 300 - it has exactly the same traits as yours, some islands are guesswork at times

Quite right , you should never rely on the shape of the road ahead at night in the middle of Africa

Give it a couple of years and I will be shouting at them both though
