Anybody else get into NSandI RPI certs before they stopped?
I already had some bought in 2008 and then about 6 months ago got wind that they were about to be stopped and so bought more.
Its averaged over the year I think but RPI last month was 4.7% and the certificates return RPI +1% tax free, so that's 5.7% tax free, which means something like 9.5% gross equivalent
Goes some way to offset the abysmal rates I'm getting elsewhere and the fact that my £ is worth less euros etc
