Default tomtom on iphone - safety cameras

Has anyone got the tomtom app for the iphone? If so, does it pick up on mobile camera sites? I have just downloaded the latest version at a cost of £42.99 (crazy I know) assuming it would have them along with normal safety cameras like Gatso, etc. But running the app alongside an old but dedicated tomtom, the app did not inform me of mobile sites unlike the dedicated tomtom one. Gatsos show up so alerts are definitely on. This is very annoying as this is the main thing I want from a satnav (as well as navigation obviously). Anyone?

The two times I have used it I thought it was pretty good other than the lack of mobile speed camera sites. Can anyone tell me if theirs picks these up like the standalone TomTom?

It all depends which places mine picks a few mobile ones. But even my official ones on my standalone unit don't pick many mobiles up.

Is the one on the tomtom unit have unofficial ones like from pocketgps?

It was a mate's One so not sure if official or not. will ask him at some point. I just read this in a review:
Mobile speed camera warnings aren't included, and you can't add cameras to a map or warn other users of their presence like with the Coyote system found in TomTom GO LIVE satnavs. Let's hope an update will put that right soon.

Hope they add some of this in a later release. Being able to update other people of Live traps rather than just warn of all possible sites is what I would like to see. Quick press of a button and everyone is updated within mins....would help against sneaky scameras. I think Road Angel did this not so long ago but you paid for the SIM subscription in the unit - now we have 'smartphones' we are already there.

I have the 'Co pilot UK' for the iphone and it's great, i read all over the place and most said that it was better than 'tom tom'. Half the price too (or it was when i bought it).

Care to let me know how? Or point me in the right direction? I'm assuming I have to copy database files into a certain folder on the iPhone??

Cheers!
