My money is on this being Sarkozy's reaction.
I don't say it's right or wrong, the French know how best to govern their own business. I would saythat as one of the primary promoters of one big happy Europe they seem to be behaving in manner contrary to this when they are not getting their own way. How bloody French of them!

Returning them to Romania?! I'm surprised at that - I thought they'd be sending them to a 'camp' conveniently located next to the channel tunnel lorry loading bay, and telling them "these lorries are all heading to England where its an absolute free-for-all for immigrants and scroungers.... obviously don't sneak onto one whatever you do..."

about time to behonest we should do the same here i had my phone stolen by one rominian gypsy when i cought him the police turned up and said he was too young to take in and guess what no phone either. my mum was on the bus while a rominian gypsy went in to her bag untill my dad spotted and kicked the lady which i know is wrong and my dad said it was wrong but the ******* deserve it. i work in as an estate agent in north london and in 10 years i havent seen one of them working. they are all on benfits they walk in to the office and say there working they bring you dodgy reffrences and regardless of the landlord been advised he takes them on 4 weeks later he gets a letter from the council telling him about there claim for benfits.
they are crooks and are only here to milk the system, they try sell fake gold on street stealing tricksters is what i call them. oh yes out side the local tescos they put a table 3 cups and a 20 pound note and youve got to guess which cup is a 20 pound note is under easy right........ wrong!!!! while your concentrating they help them selfs to what ever you have in your pockets they always do it in big groups. they aslo promote and control a large amount of prostatuation in the area.

I have seen these first hand in Brittany this year.... I suppose they like going on holiday as much as the rest of us, however they don't like having to pay for it, so just rock up to some waste land and hang their washing out to claim their spot. (Suppose it's a bit like the German's and towels.)
I have no doubt that the locals dislike having them there as much as we dislike them here. I say good on France for actually stuffing the do-gooders and moving these people on.

I think the Roma Gypsies in this case are an ethnic group, so it could be considered rascist to think of them as inferior to "us". (Us in this case being any other race.)

The UK has put up with this problem for years no one has the backbone to sort it out,well here is a lttle story that will make some smile.A few years ago in a little green area bedecked by a row of social housing had the pleasure of some four traveller famillies ,well as it came to pass anything that was not fixed down dissapeared,cars got broken into,bikes went.Well one Sat night these good oll boys having fun took their hog like females and stinking brats to terrorise the local pub drinking gallons of ale then drive their 4wheel drives/Transits back while local plod hid.In the area the local lads used to play a game the ball was a 2ltr diamond
white bottle filled with petrol then a rag stuffed in the top,they would light the rag and throw it at their mates.Well these young lads just having fun managed to roll the ***** under 4 caravans being thoughtful they then entered caravans and removed vauables so they could be given back to the owners as a show of being good neighbours.One little girl said "Mummy the caravans are on fire should we call Fire engine?" she said"someone broke into my car and stole my handbag and phone so not much I can do".Eventually fire engine arrived,the Chief said cant go near-gas bottles so they gently sprinkled water until the fires ran their course.After a little while everyone went, calm was resumed until around 1 am when the good oll boys came back,the hog like women were shouting rude words followed by some trible dance that included punching each other,well eventually they all drove off into the night,never said goodbye.I was told all the property saved went to good causes just goes to show there are good people out there !!!!

So you have to be the ex-head of the Luftwaffe to want to rid your already problem ridden country from more problems???
As i said they are being deported back to their country or origin perhaps they should work harder at making that a better place maybe... where exactly did i suggest sending them to death camps or labour camps exactly, get a grip!

Everything was OK for a week or so, until some of the travellers' kids beat up two of the local kids.
At morning break, about half the school, (250 kids), went down to the travellers' camp "to talk to them". Result was several caravans being overturned, LOTS of travellers getting assaulted, and one caravan set alight, accidentally, or course.
By the time the very lefty head went down to try and make peace, there was only the travellers' leader left, and HE was hitching up to move. He apparently IM-politely declined lefty head's offer of coffee and biscuits to discuss it over, AND his apology
