One of my clients is a design company and over the last year or so they have been working on the new branding of Virgin Atlantic.
It is still ongoing but part of their work was the new livery for the fleet.
Here is a great stop frame animation. Apparently it takes 4 days and a lot of money to do it.

Excellent. Cheers for sharing that.
Just been looking it up and apparently the "average" 747 paint job WEIGHS 551lbs lol
AA saves 500lb of weight by polishing and sealing their bare aluminium planes (apparently)

I can see why American Airlines don't bother painting half of their planes
You'd think in this day and age they'd use vinyl wraps, at least for the lettering/logos etc.
My regular taxi driver has started getting his cars wrapped (local council regulation round here is that all private hire cars must be white...but when registered 5 miles down the road it can be any colour ). Costs him a grand or so and they'll remove it for free when he's done with it. Worthwhile consider he's driving BMW 5 series and Merc C-classes (well, he did use to run Toyota Corollas, but the latest ones are apparently very unreliable).
