They are chickening out ... due to the massive backlash they would have recieved - the Lib Dems wouldn't have allowed it through and the Tories would have been defeated.

But, the point is worth remembering .... the Tories wanted to steal the milk from our babies!!!

The only reason milk is provided free is that children from poorer social backgrounds get some milk they possibly wouldn't otherwise.
BUT, that's not a good enough reason to have it provided free to every child under the age of 6.
Especially when most of the children get provided milk at home whenever they want.

Warm milk through a waxy straw. The top bit used to freeze in winter. Little clumps of cream on your cornflakes from the 'Gold Top', if you hadn't shaken it first. Jumpers for goalposts, isn't it mmm?
