Steve
do what I did. Have all your paperwork, renewal form, insurance docs and old MOT certificate in the glovebox. Then if you get stopped just say you were meaning to get it done.

oh and loose some of that bling around your neck and go a bit more understated and you should be fine

The problem is if you go past an ANPR camera or plod car fitted with one.

If the computer says NO, they'll pull you.

I don't know if no MOT will invalidate your insurance. Probably not since you can drive it to the garage to get an MOT, but it might be worth checking. Terrible if you had an accident and had no insurance to cover it.

You can only use it if you are on your way to the appointment at the MOT centre or taking directly home after being there, if not, it's liable for Operation Cube-it, and then the van will be having an appointment with the crusher.

I don't think the van will get crushed for being 3 days late in having an
MOT, its still taxed and insured.

You'll be fine ..... plead ignorance ...... 3 days is nothing.

If it is roadworthy that is .... and if it is the Insurance is valid.

Cars do not get crushed for no MOT if clearly roadworthy.
