Yep,
Driving my fuel guzzling 4.8 litre X5 down from Aberdeen and back (Circa 850 mile round trip). Be cheaper hiring a helicopter!!
Got excellent stand seats at Maggots/Becketts which from more than 20 previous Silverstones over the years shows an F1 car at it's limit as dramatically as any other series of corners that I have been at.

Not this year. Sat between Becketts & Chapel last year and wasnt that impressed with that location. Would probably try just before Stowe next time as a decent overtaking spot after high speed straight.

Boring race dominated by the Red Bulls. Best bit was the Eurofighter fly over afterwards

I will be there. My wife has bought us tickets for the Sunday as my surprise birthday present (actually next week). Unfortunately last week my stupid Dad gave away the surprise within 1 minute of me meeting him for the first time this year. Tw@t. My wife's furious with him.

Was in the Club B grandstand last year, always some action leading into Club, saw LH do doughnuts in front of our stand at the end of the race The highlight of the race TBH!

Due to the price hike this year will only be going for the Friday.

Been there the last two years, so seems rude not to go again!

Being a McLaren fan, I'm in the draw for a paddock tour as well! Fingers crossed

Can't justify the expense unfortunately, used to go a few years ago. One of the inspiring sights was seeing Jackie Stewart flat out through the original Woodcote corner anticipating the discontinuity halfway round the corner which had all the others lifting off and sliding while he was good enough to be able to get the required correction in fractionally before he reached it and never had to lift off! Like all the really fast drivers he was as smooth as silk.

Enjoy the day.

No corporate hospitality this year, so no. I'm not sitting in the cheap seats with the great unwashed.

I will cycle over to see the red arrows though

Feels like it was last week to me!

That was real racing though, but then I would say that!

I hope everyone enjoyed it. It was my first time, admittedly i am not really a F1 fan. But when you see the speed you have to appricate it.
I really enjoyed it.

I did see some VERY nice scoobs parked up in the car parks too

My brother in law who lives in Spain went to Valencia without a ticket. Went round all the super yachts in the harbour and bold as you like said hello to people, asking them if they were going to watch the F1. Almost all had VIP tickets and just gave him their spares as they all seemed to have extras. Lucky git got to talk to Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, and get on to tv in the background of the BBC coverage with Eddy Jordan and co. All with out spending a penny. He said he "felt like a kid in a sweet shop".

I enjoyed the whole race, I thought Hamilton drove really well, as did Webber. Button showed his mettle as well by gaining 10 places during the race. Glad to see that Silverstone's future is safe now. Even Ecclestone is praising it now after his inverted snobbery towards the BRDC.

We had a great day. Aside from the cars, there are so many fit birds wandering around!

What made me laugh were two American lads sitting a couple of rows behind us in the grandstand (why are American voices so loud?). I have absolutely no idea why they had come and presumably spent a couple of hundred quid each to watch an event they hadn't got a clue about. They had no idea who the drivers/cars were and whooped and hollered when they saw Webber lapping a slowing blue-flagged Hispania Racing back-marker, believing it to be the overtaking manoeuvre of the season! It even took them a couple of laps to realize that all of the cars had slowed down for the safety car.

Glad you had a good day.

I think they have to shout because everyone else does over there. Have you also noticed that the louder an actor shouts the better they reckon he is at the job?

It was the right kind of weather for fit young ladies to be displaying their wares!

lol, my thoughts exactly.

What is it with "look at me i'm on TV"?? Who gives a sh!te?? Personally, I think you look a right knobber acting like that.

Thing is, their tickets to get in there must have cost several hundred £'s, either that or they got given free tickets from someone they know??
