It's a counterterrorism initiative. whats good about doing away with it? even if it helps bring evidence on the conviction of one scumbag then it's worth it surely?

So its ok to film me while im walking, driving, parking, shopping etc but you cant film muslims doing the same things?
I bet those cameras cost a fortune and now they are having plastic bags put over them to reassure the muslim community, you couldnt make it up!
Why do muslims think they are exempt from rules everyone else has to follow?

They are turning loads of cameras off. We have at least two car parks which are now not monitored and the local press were proud to announce it – so the local public avoid it like the plague and any out of town folks who use it come back to a damaged car.
Most ATM machines are the same – due to a public outcry about being monitored when the use them. So card scamming is now through the roof.
But hey, at least we are moving away from the ‘big brother’ society.

The last lot thought it was very important to be able to monitor all the non criminals as much of the time as they could and anti terrorism or criminal behaviour was a handy adjunct by the cameras.
