Grr, every f*cking time, she goes out, I sort the kids out, then decide to watch telly and she is recording two things, "V" the series and Midsommer Murders, which one to cancel, or both !
I often wondered who watch sh1te like Modsommer Murders, now I know.

In our house it's Top Gear, OH will set to record and then clear off to work. I know for a fact he's seen every episode six hundred times anyway but he records them just in case, then it will be some random thing off the Hitler channel to clash with it.

Annoying, but I find that's a good time to watch something you've recorded yourself and probably wouldn't have got round to watching normally

No, but you can record 2 chanels and still watch a third.
Or record two and watch something previously recorded.
Or set something to record and then watch that program while it records. ( you might be able to do the latter with sky?)
Plus the on demand feature is excellent, but that is simy my personal opinion.

Don't really know what on demand is, but I can only assume its like anytime tv
Another really neat feature of sky is remote recording.
I've used that a few times when I've been away from home.

I think the difference between the Sky box and the V+ box is that Virgin has three tuners instead of two, so you can record two channels and watch live TV at the same time. With Sky you can only record one channel while watching live TV.

Unfortunatly my v + is full of blues clues!!!!!!!!
About 1/3 of it is corrupted, but if I format the drive, I will have no blues clues..... or sanity!

Lol, have been busy recently, with the Sky thing and last night her being out she asked me to walk up and walk back with her, got there at 11 and she decided to stay a while, returning at 12 in her mates car, she was worried I would be grumpy, I wasnt really but her mate had suggested a BJ as compensation, would have been great but I was half asleep and had already "taken care of business"

I'd hate to think she had to go to too much trouble.

I had the same trouble too. It never worked right, you know, start stop, start stop, it was forever doing the wrong thing. The kids couldnt get on with it either. It never did what they wanted it to. All these appliances only last a few years before they conk out. So one day I thought sod it. I unplugged it and just walked away. The kids are happy now and sky+ works a treat and never fails to record the right programme..
