yep - my pedigree Black Lab (gun dog) moults all fookin year. Hairy ******!!

Still we've got laminate on most floors so, it just collects in the corners.

After having Labs for most of my life, Golden Labs seem to moult more than the other colours. And b1tches more so than the dogs.

Ive had labradors for years, does anyone else find their moulting gets heavier as they get older?

It seems to come out in clumps at times, especially around the back legs

Still love them though, hairy buggers

My yellow lab moults continually. Brushing doesn't seem to make any difference. I'm gradually recarpeting the house in a matching shade.

I definatly understand how you feel. Mine blow their coats twice a year, in epic fashion lol.

What happens when you brush a blowing malamute....

yup our yellow lab moults like crazy for long periods of time and then not too bad for the rest of it, she is now 8 it does look like a snow scene at times but hey ho.

And your right brushing does not help!

Its how they shed their coats mate lol. My male is going through the worst stage of it now, the girl has not started badly yet lol. Lots and lots of brushing needed for a couple of weeks til its all gone.

Sometimes we take them to the park in the still of the night and do them, makes a proper mess but the wildlife love the bedding for their nests etc.

In the meantime the house is a bit messy right now lol

Oh and back on topic for a sec.... Dog owners might want to try a Furminator. Does an amazing job of raking a dogs coat. And I mean AMAZING !

We used to have a black one years ago. Yes he moulted just like all the others and we just had to put up with it.

They are such lovely natured and loyal dogs that it was easy to forgive him all his hairy moments!

i have a husky, and snazy your so right the furminator is the best tool for grooming any dog.

i would avoid getting a golden retriever and labradors as its frightening how many of their owners go blind.
