Default Southend Airshow 2010

I'll not be there, but I hope everyone has a good time. I hope the Catalina does some circuits and bumps in the estuary. The smokey Sabre's always a pretty sight too. No Vulcan yet though and Red Arrows not listed either although the Red Gnats might remind us of their days gone by. I also understand that the Swordfish will be replaced by the Sea Hawk.

It's a bowling alley now

And the old bowling alley on the pier mysteriously burnt down when the new bowling alley was announced

and the bandstand fell down in a mudslide that has been blocking the road for what must have been 10 years now.

Can't remember exactly, it was a long time ago before I joined the RAF and was doing a fill in job. We went on a works outing. Had a good time though and it was quite a big establishment then.

Thats sacrilege. Strange how these coincidences happen though.
