Annoying kitchen stuff
Anyone else get annoyed at these?
Those film lids with a tab under the top of a plastic milk carton: God knows how many times I've struggled and failed to get those off cleanly when opening a fresh bottle.
Jugs or teapots that don't pour properly.
Fridges that ice up.
Toasters that can't consistently make decent slices of toast.
Dishwashers that randomly leave your crockery covered in cr@p, so that you have to wash it all by hand as well.
Saucepans that always boil over the moment you look away.
Eggs that split as soon as you try to boil them.
Any more?

I have a cupboard full of ex-trendy kitchen appliances. Bread maker, juicer, blender, steamer, thing that slices vegetables and your fingers if you're not careful, plus the most recent addition, a slow cooker.
My excuse for not throwing them away is that I might need them some day..... I last used the bread maker at least 4 years ago because I've been in this house that length of time and it's never been out of the cupboard. The slow cooker is great for stews, but at this time of year you want salads etc. so it's not being used. I have NO DOUBT it will be back out again come the autumn. But I did say that about so many things.....

Tetrapak cartons of orange juice. The ones that Sainsburys use are particularly naff, always seem to end up spilling more than I end up drinking
What makes it worse is that in the time it takes me to wipe up the resultant mess, the company has probably made another few thousand euros.

Good idea, let some vermin sniff the milk whilst still on the shelf and put it back for you to buy...
Jugs or teapots that don't pour properly.
Overfilling them, teapots are for victorians..
Fridges that ice up.
Your fridge will only reach a temp based on ambient. If you crank your fridge up in hot weather, then there is a cold spell, it will ice up.
Toasters that can't consistently make decent slices of toast.
Cheap toasters dont have timers, they have stats. ( see fridge )
Dishwashers that randomly leave your crockery covered in cr@p, so that you have to wash it all by hand as well.
Too cold, the tablet isn't dissolving, or do an extra rinse or pre-rinse.
Saucepans that always boil over the moment you look away.
Don't look away.
Eggs that split as soon as you try to boil them.
Lower them into NOT quite boiling water.

I remember sharing a house with my ex and 2 things that used to **** me off in the kitchen was:
1. find the other half has done some toast and left some butter and fooking crumbs on the work top and the knife in an empty sink.
2. She used to throw her dirty dishes in the sink when the bloody dish washer was empty.

Only one thing really. Had a lodger who left some milk at the back of the fridge behind some preserve jars. I found it, realised it was about as out of date as it gets and took it out of the fridge.
Was gonna pour it down the sink to get rid, started to peel off the foil lid and then it exploded with the force of a small grenade, showering me and the rest of the kitchen in cheesey smelling skank, It was in what remains of my hair, my mouth, on the ceiling. All at 2230hrs at night, that was fun to clean up
