Just got a second job, how does tax work with this?
Just got a second job up the local pub (parents friends have just bought it) and since i might be thinking about going traveling soon i thought it might be worth while getting a second job and saving a bit.
Being a student my first job is only part time (15 hours) and i earn under 10K a year, but how will the taxing work on this second job? will it be a much higher percentage? Or will it just be the same since i earn so little?

If above board you will be assigned tax code BR (Basic Rate) and you will pay 20% on all earnings.
If Job A + Job B leaves any personal allowance left over at end of year you'll need to apply for a tax refund.

Whatever you do, if still a student in full time education, claim your council tax back.
It's unlikely that if you have any professional subscriptions, bur if you do, claim those back too
I'm sure more folk on here can give you advice on things to claim back, should you find you are being taxed.
