I think it is one of the best adverts ever made - it is so totally congruent with the JL brand.

My wife is a big JL fan and without know who the advert was for was tearing up before it got to the end. So it hits its target big time!

yep, pure class.Seems to be a few 'Journey of life' ads at the moment but that is the best. Sure beats those Nationwide 'ads?'
You get what you pay for.

Reminds me of the Co-op advert from last year with the Bob Dylan music.

I was saying the same thing last night to my other half. The best advert I have seen in a long time.

Good ad, prefer the Billy Joel version of the song though.

The only thing I'd change is right at the end, when she is a Grandmother I'd have had her greeting her grandchild coming out of a play tunnel to make it full circle, but I'd have used the first childs sister (if available), as using the same kid would be too clichéd.

The Honda ad with all the bits falling like dominoes was pretty damn good. But I like the John Lewis ad. I love the shop too.....

It's good, but there is no continuity.

Every scene could be set in the same time period with regards to fashion, decor etc. Yet we see the main character age over 60+ years.

That aside, it's cool.

Are you speaking from personal experience?

It is an outstanding video.
