Chavs ?

Chavs ?
The whole Chav thing has been around for ages now, but I dont totally understand it.
I understand what is meant by the term but can someone quantify to me how one would qualify as a "Chav", are there degrees of it, is it possible to migrate from or into Chavdom, can you be mixed class, i.e. half Middle class/half chav ?
Will I know if I am a Chav ? I dont think I am one but who knows, do the people we identify as Chavs recognise the description, how is a Chav different to a Pikey or a ****** ?
Being a Subaru forum with the way the ownership profile has changed, it stands to reason there are some Chavs on here, can you stand up and be counted please.
I propose a scoring mechanism with threshold values to decide, have fun making up the metric and score yourselves.
Is it always a bad thing to be a Chav ?

Its used in every thread on here, like that one whether Chavs should get help to get back from holidays due to the ash or not, I sort of get it but its a bit confusing, surely people not getting back due to money would mean they arent exactly wealthy but just not being welathy doesnt mean you are a Chav.

Its just bandied about as a derogatory description of anyone out of favour, whether they be pitbull walking ******* or the hard working low income single parent family in a council estate. The word has lost its impact.

There are definitely degrees of Chav.
I know a few decent Chav's, can come across a bit intimidating but are actually really dead on and show alot more respect and have far superior manners compared to the middle class ****** i have to deal with.
The worst chav you can ever meet is a chav who doesn't know they are a chav. These are the ones to be wary of.

I agree there are definately degrees of Chavness lol.
But when I was younger, we used to call what people nowadays call Chav's "Townies" ie; Rockports, cap half perched on there heads, big ugly Elizabeth Duke jewellery etc.
I'm 27 this year btw.

From my observations
Full chav- tracksuit, cap, hoodie, never worked, drinks cheap booze in town centre, low iq/high fertility, shop lifts, likes to travel in packs.
Half chav- usually has boyband-type haircut, tribal tattoos, frequently seen driving cheaper imprezas, civic type r, Saxo vtr/vts, always texting/fiddling with phone, tarty-looking "bird"in tow.

Do not think where you come from defines you as a chav, it is a state of mind, way of acting and a dress code, the odd ASBO or two to your name doesn't hurt either.

I also classify another group, cHAVE's ! These are from poor working class backgrounds but have managed to make a few quid and do their utmost to let everybody know it. Footballers are usually the epitome of a cHAVE for example. Thick as $h!t and good at nothing more than a childs playground sport, but make massive pots of cash and usually squander it on the most tasteless flashy tatt in a 'look at me' bid to make sure everyone notices.

Its all about the brand names and letting everybody how "loaded" you are, either by splashing some big *** muncher logo all over your t-shirt, or letting everybody see your big waxa gold chain/sovereigns.
The scroaty, younger types will splash sportswear logos on anything so every body knows its a
"belta-brand like" but they are usually a bit scruffy.
The older types usually try to give the impression they are minted by having lots of cash on show, big huge conservatory on the home they bought (but its still on a council estate) a nice new car on the drive (that was previously a write off, has been fixed up the cheap with scrapyard parts and had a back hander paintjob done at mates rates)
You get the impression, or at least that is what they you want you to get....
