Optimus prime was the main goody transformer.
But who was the baddy.

I'm certain it was megatron, but chelle reckons there was an earlier transformer baddy...

Are you sure you are not confusing Galvatron with Megatron? Megatron was the 1st big bad guy since the series started and after the movie Megatron became Galvatron. Hope this helps.

Thats right - it was Megatron who turned into Galvatron in the movie.

In the movie Optimus Prime died and gave the leadership and "the matrix" to Ultra Magnus and it was in turn passed to Hot Rod who became Rodimus Prime

God I'm sad!!!

Hehe, the best ever cartoon series known to man. One of the first DVD's I bought was Transformers the movie. My favourites were the dinobots with Grimlock being really funny.

Did anyone collect and complete the Panini stickera album? Those were the days when I was at school and we all swapped stickers, now its drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, knives and other such goodies

Does anyone remember MASK? That was one of my favourites.

It does stand for something but I'm buggered if I can remember

Ahh, classic cartoons.

Battle of the Planets is cool, better still if you've seen the original that it is derrived from.

Also, what about 'mysterious cities of gold' now that was class.

Question

Did they ever find the 'mysterious cities of gold'. It just seemed to go on for years and they never got any closer to it

I was never a big fan of Thundercats. He-Man, now that was a classic cartoon!

MASK was cool. VENOM had the best vehicles like Pirahna and Jackhammer and also the better helmets "stilleto fire". Although "penetrator on" was cool too (no rude jokes please).

Yeah they did find the mysterious city of gold, well one of the seven. There were 39 episodes in total. Last one saw the three kids flying off in the golden condor to find the other six lost cities.

This thread deserves to be around for a while.

I'm trying to think of something worth while to add to it as most of the old classics have been done already.

Ok. What was the real score between Transformers and Go-bots?

I know the Transformers was just a brilliant marketing ploy to sell more toys. I guess Go-bots was just the Japs cashing in on an American idea.

I did like that yellow beetle though. Nice bit of kit, but deep down I was a true transformer fan.

I was even able to get some constructicons in the US whilst on Holiday when I was about 10. I was the coolest kid on school for that, as you couldn't get them over here.

The transformers, Jayce and the wheeled Warriors and Ulyses were the coolest. Kept me glued to the screen when I was younger

Cheers,

Nick

I think I had well over 100 transformers in the end if memory serves.
