With Luke on this one - I have a Minolta S304 and Nothing, I mean NOTHING comes close for under £400 4x Optical Zoom on the best quality lens in the market, simple
It knocks the Cannon G2 into touch IMHO - its nicer to hold, much cheaper and, believe me, you dont need more than 3.3 Million Pixels!!

I'm pretty pleased with my Canon Ixus v (v for video).
I chose the Ixus over any other due to its small size and relatively cheap price.
Have a look at www.dpreview.com it is without doubt the best digital camera site on the net!

Hello
The Fuji 6800z is probably one of the best for that price.
It's about £412 from http://www.ny-camera.net or £425 from www.nomatica.co.uk.

I've got a Mintola S304 (350.00). Mate has a Nikon Coolpix 775 (320.00). Another mate has a Fuji 2600(300.00). The Mintola and Nikon produce similar quality. The Fuji is not quite as good, but still excellent. The bonus about the Nikon is that they have a package with a spare battery and 64Mb card for 40 quid.
