The air comes in several scents including the lakeside aroma of Windermere in Cumbria and the woodlands of Box Hill in Surrey.
According to a 'study' conducted by the National Trust, 59 per cent of people said a breath of fresh air was enough to reduce their stress levels.
Each 454g jar of air being given away by the National Trust can relieve stress for ten minutes, it claims, although they don't specify exactly what research lies behind this apparently staggering medical breakthrough.

PR stunt to get more folk out in the country/NT places? Us folk out in the boonies don't want townies descending on us at every opportunity. They should bottle farty smells to keep them away

I should imagine some of the Box Hill air is tainted/enhanced with the smell of motorcycles and burger bar depending on the day it was bottled.
If anybody buys one and gets a whiff of Castrol R then quickly do the lid back up and I'll swap you a fresh one.
