Default Ipod help! New user...

Hi

I'm an old Sony MP3 user and was given an Ipod a few weeks ago. My bro put some tunes on it for me from his PC.. "Cool" I thought, and kept them on for a while.

Now I have got bored and decided I want my own music on. So I plug the Ipod into my PC, sync it, lose his tunes (fair enough I have to do this to sync etc..).

Here are my problems:-

1. Some albums already on my PC are now appearing in Itunes but are scattered as separate tracks rather than in Album folders. How do I correct this?
2. There seems to be every option available in the menus except for the obvious... Errm, how do I transfer tracks from my PC to the Ipod?

Sorry I'm being thick but I find the software really unfriendly.

Nick

hey

1) Your itunes might be filtering by song name or by genre. Check the column headings along the top and click on the artist or album that should change how they are sorted.

2) You are probably set on manual, so highlight the tunes you want to transfer from your library to your ipod and drag and drop onto your ipod. Select multiple tunes by holding the shift button.

hth!
