There was a thread on SN about 10 days ago regarding this very issue.
Apauling that this happens any decent MP would refuse the medal(s)

Soldiers are only awarded medals if they serve in a war zone, in operations, or for long service or acts of conspicuous bravery.
Still, what do you expect from a bunch of self-serving ***** who fiddle their expenses thus ripping off the tax payer - around50% of MP's fell foul, shocking!
