Default need new hoover which one is best dyson or ????

right time has come for me to buy a new hoover for the house.
does anyone know which are the best for value in the market?
the dysons are bloody expensive and parents had one and tbh was a cooont to empty still made a mess when emptying and still needed a bag to empty the contents into.
need it to vacum stairs too.

Yes, I bought one after it being reccomended on here. Very well built, loads of suction even when the bag is full. Before we got it, I tried a Dyson and wasn't impressed at all with it's ability to actually pick up dirt.

If a Miele is too expensive, get a Henry.

We have a Dyson cylinder cleaner. Sucks well, but is messy to empty, and sooooo bulky. My mum has a Miele and swears by it.

We've had two Dysons and am not impressed with them. Got ourselves a "Hettie" and it's fantastic. Cheap too

Henry Micro 200M-22, although the domestic professional has just told me it's too heavy.. all I know is that it works and isn't noisy (the hoover that is)

Henrys are terrific at sucking up and seem reliable. Reasonably compact and not too heavy. Bit of a pain to hoover large carpet areas though.

Dysons do carpets very well but they are a real pain if they get blocked and heavy to cart up and down the stairs.

Get a Henry unless you have acres of carpet. Good value as well. dl

Had 2 dysons, never again. One word....Miele. It really is excellent. I use it in the house and even take it to the (wood) workshop and it copes just fine.

Which? agree too.

Henry - He's red, he's round, he sucks stuff off the ground

Plus he has a lovely smiley face

You can use him for just about every vacuuming job going and he won't let you down. I swear the things are indestructible. My Mum's is over 20 years old and still works as well as ever despite having served through three house renovations. I love Henrys

MrsD bought a Dyson about 3 years ago, because 'they're easier to use' than our decades old Henry

Guess which one is now sat in the back of the broom cupboard, practically unused, because it can't pick up dog hairs without blocking

Get a Kirby.

My mum still has the same one that she bought the year I was born.

1979 it was. It's been serviced every 5 years and has been faultless.

+1,000,000 for the Meile we had two Dysons and got rid of them for the

Cat & Dog Turbo 5000 ~ Vacuum Cleaners ~ Domestic Electrical Appliances UK ~ Miele

its brilliant comes with lots of attachements for various functions, is great for stairs and really powerful, it even has a dial so you can select how much power you need as you dont want to hoover your laptop keyboard on full power (like i did lol) so you can turn it down

bought one box of bags from fleabay and they have lasted two years now

highly recommended.

If i can remember later, i bought it from a place that gives discount if you say you found them reading Which magazine, he gave me a free box of bags as well

I once went to an interview for a 'sales job' and it was selling these. I think 20 years ago, they were £1000, but the salesman got about £300 for a sale.

They like to use it on your bed and then show you what it's picked up.
