Would you fly with BA?
Need to book my summer hols and will probably be going to Turkey again. I can either fly chartered or the only scheduled option is BA.
On the whole I try and avoid chartered flights and am happy to pay to do so. I'm just rather worried about booking BA flights given all the industrial action/strife they are going through.
Would you book a BA flight for June?

Interesting opinions on here.
I spent Tuesday in a room with lots of BA management and depending on where I was flying to and from which airport, I'd be happy to book BA.

With the risk of strikes still on the horizon, people are reportedly paying an extra £1200 for a Virgin Atlantic flight, rather than pay BA and possibly suffer from industrial action based cancellations.

Sorry I'm not sure where the flight to Antalya leaves from. Why does that make a difference?
No way am I flying Turkish Airlines, they have improved recently but prior to that from between about 1975 to 1995 they crashed almost every year!

I've just flown turkish airlines to tel aviv and I'm alive!
and the food on both flights was good, and they are not stingy about giving out alochol!
both airplanes looked pretty new, although there seemed to be slightly less leg room that you get on AF/KLM that I normally fly.
all-in-all not a bad experience, would use them again

I flew to Tokyo with them and have to say they were very good, especially with the kids.
Only time I've used them though, so perhaps they were having an 'off' day
Oh, and on the way back from San Fran they gave us a free upgrade to premium economy.
Which was welcome.

Don't rate them top be honest - as others have said it's a pricey airline that just doesn't deliver the goods.
Unite are a bunch of 1st class ******* though, so this won't end well. Best thing that could happen is the airline goes **** up and is sold off in chunks to other more reliable carriers.

What's the difference between a Rottweiller and a BA stewardess? Lipgloss.
I try and avoid flying BA unless they are the only option. I've always found the staff surly and unhelpful, not quite as bad as United, but close.

I'm just trying to avoid Thomas Cook, I flew with them last year to Turkey and didn't enjoy the experience. The aircraft was very very cramped and on board service non existent, makes travelling with two small children quite difficult.
The ONLY other options are BA or Turkish Airlines (Turkish Airlines safety record - Telegraph)
My question was not really what are BA like, but in terms of the strike action is it safe to fly with them. I know what BA are like, I have flown with them before. I'm not overly impressed by them either, especially compared to many other national carriers
97 Turbo, I have no idea why flying with BA would have anything to do with image.

Engineering teams are not striking and all "new" crew training has been approved by the CAA.
I'm cautious who I fly with and BA are still top
of my list.
