Cleaning a pan she's burnt.
Daft bint used a decent stainless milk pan to heat up apple slices for apple sauce on Sunday, walked away, forgot it and burnt it all onto the pan.
So far, I've soaked it, Brillo'd it, soaked with Oven Pride, Soaked it with neat dishwasher powder, barely wet, and very wet, soaked it with Cilit Bang, and it STILL has black on it which only scratching seems to remove, and then only in bits
It's been through the dishwasher twice too.
Anyone got any bright ideas? TIA

never really gets clean again. tried acid? my old Father in Law used "tric" AKA Trichloroethylene which he procured from Shorts aircraft factory. it is used to degrease plane wings in the factory but it has a multitudinous uses at home. that stuff will strip anything. great for cleaning white pvc windows.

Lat time that happened to a pan, it got so hot the base de-laminated from teh bottom.
Wasn't noticeable at first, but when boiling pasta I noted bubbles were forming on only half of the base. Tapped the bottom (after it was cool and empty) and it made a hollow tinny sound where the base wasn't making contact with the pan.
Never got the marks out of it either ( ex boiled dry some hard boiled eggs FFS ).

Wet and dry, only sure way.
Use trico-ethylene ? Not if you have a cell in your head and care for your family.......
There are modified versions, but the full stuff is lethal.
In fact one company I worked with in Northampton had a problem with their tank and sadly a worker died.
"never really gets clean again. tried acid? my old Father in Law used "tric" AKA Trichloroethylene which he procured from Shorts aircraft factory. it is used to degrease plane wings in the factory but it has a multitudinous uses at home. that stuff will strip anything."
Workplace watchdog Occupational Safety and Health is investigating how three workers nearly died while working inside a concrete silo.
OSH says says the contractors working in an Auckland silo, are lucky to be alive, after being overcome by fumes.
They were discovered on Thursday morning, in an Atlas Concrete silo in Wiri.
Two were having difficulty breathing and another was unconscious, after breathing in toxic trico-ethylene fumes.
A spokesperson for OSH Kevin Mottram, says they had been applying a rubber coating to the inside of the silo, and filling it up with sand as they went. He says they would have died, if left there much longer.
OSH has closed the workplace down and is investigating whether Atlas Concrete holds any responsibility for the workers.
