Unhappy

Can anyone tell me how those cameras work in vans sitting on bridges, are you checked over distance, etc. I think I may have been caught by one.

Thanks

think they work by shooting a beam at the car and timing how long it takes to reach the car, then time how long it takes for the beam to reflect back to the gun. this would give the distance travelled by the length of time it takes to get to and from the gun
Just a guess, but.........

Cheers,

I've seen these vans a few times before, but normally they have the windows open so you can see the camera, are they in operation if the windows are closed, as this one had blacked out windows.

Don't know M8, the only ones I've seen working haven't been behind glass either. They might have just been packing up to go home fingers crossed.

I'm hoping I was lucky, as none of the doors or windows were open on the "safety camera team" van. I'll keep my fingers crossed and prey nothing comes through the post in the next couple of weeks. At the end of the day, If I was caught It's my own stupid fault.

All for a blumin' new kettle.

Thanks for the responses

Safety Team vans use Laser if i remember correctly, and the doors windows have to be open for it to be used or they get reflections back from the glass that would make the readings nonsense !
