I have just been to a fair tonight and my daughter wanted to go on the Waltzer first, I don't mind the ride and thought who cares. We get on and there isn't many people on it and as it starts I try to get my daughter to lean into each side to help the spin Then about 30 seconds into the ride we get someone next to our car just spinning the thing constanly and it was spinning that fast ikt was pulling you back into the seat. The ride seemed to last forever and the whole time someone was there just spining and spinning and spinning the car I couldn't even walk straight when I got off it. I had to then go straight onto another ride that was a long platform that went round in circles constantly and had to concentrate to stop from throwing up My daughter was then wanting me to go on another ride and I had to say no as everyride seemed to throw you around in that many directions I wasn't sure that I wouldn't empty my stomach. Is this now age thing as I can't remeber ever feeling this ill going on rides like this oh unless its the Pirate ship as I hate that fricking ride

I think it's an age thing. I went on a waltzer about 3 years ago with my daughter, I had a headache for a week afterwards and swore never again.

I take it you mean the fair at the Valley, I wanted to go but never made it. Probably wouldn't have gone on anything anyway... I'm a right wimp.
Not sure it's an age thing though. I went on the waltzer when I was about 17 or so at the town moor, was horrible and was sick as soon as I got off. I normally enjoyed the ride so not sure what went wrong that time.

I took my dad on the waltzer when I was about 14 and he had to spend the rest of the day in bed...
Saying that, I went to Alton Towers last November and spent the whole time feeling a bit queasy. We did go on every single thrill ride - they were the only ones open actually as it was a special thing - but I'd never felt like that before and I love roller coasters.

I can't wait for my kids to grow up so I can take thm on the big rides - it's all teacups and ferris wheels at the moment although I can make them ill by really spinning the teacups and rocking the cab on the ferris wheel

I remember as a kid there was a ride called the meteorite which was a circular cage that span around and went up almost horizontal
it was the last day of the fair and they decided to give us a double ride on it, unfortunately after a ton of candy floss my stomach was not up to it and I ended up chundering up all over the girl next to me. She was screaming but not with excitement.

It's an age thing.
I however love the waltzers! I always end up with a headache though!
I hate the big wheel though, I hate heights or anything that looks like it's been put together for a 15 year olds gcse metalwork project.
