Default A few xbox questions from a non gamer

Ok I know its microsoft and this goes against every bone in my body, but I'm thinking of getting an xbox, but I need to ask a few questions.

Is the internet browser on it a full blown version of IE? does it store cookies? 1 of the webistes I view, only supports IE (eurosport)

Does it have a wired network port? (I have a hard wired flat with point under the TV)

What games feature the Nurburgring?

Please guys, this is a serious thread, no "go buy a PS3" please unless it does everything above.

Cheers

never been online on mine, but yes it does have a ethernet point and you can get a steering wheel for it and Forza 3 is great. Not sure about your other questions.

Which console have you got? Looking at the Arcade. Is there any need to go for the elite?

Not sure where you heard that the XBox 360 has an internet browser, but I can tell you it hasn't currently If you want a Games console for which you can surf the web then you are looking at either a PS3 or a Wii. But couldn't tell you if they support the websites you wish to visit thoroughly. If you are after games that have the Nurburgring then on the PS3 there is Gran-Tourismo.

The Arcade only comes with a memory card.

If you decide you want to download map packs, extra games, game content, then you'll have to buy a hard drive as well as the memory card won't be big enough. Either that or just get an Elite in the first place.

Dave.

Forza3 and PGR4 both have a reasonable Nurburgring. The Le Mans circuit is extremely realistic in Forza3 too, unlike Grid. Indianapolis at 90mph? Yeah right!

As an aside, it takes me longer to lap the Nordschleife in a 944 Turbo (on Forza3, using a MS FF wheel) than it took me to really do it in a 968 in 1995 when the place was far quieter!

Clumsy, bad etc I would rather use my phone than use the PS3, to try bring it in to real life terms.

Surely if you want to surf the net then you buy a laptop.

If you want to play a game you buy a games console.

Fair enough, and they did produce the first workable GUI. But MS stuff seems to work pretty well now anyway.
