Things to do in Salisbury?
Wifey and I are off to Salisbury for Vallies weekend - anything good there to do given the nature of the weekend?
(other than the cathedral obviously!!!!)

The Saturday market's pretty good if you like that sort of thing. If you like arty-things and nick nacks, then Fisherton Mill has a great shop and gallery, and a not half-bad coffee/cake shop
If you like old pubs, seek out the Haunch of Venison in Minster Street.
The museum in the Close is quite interesting.
Mind the roads - they are abysmal and desperately need repairing. And I can recommend the Park and Ride since parking in-town can sometimes be difficult, and it's much cheaper and less hassle on the bus

The Haunch of Venison is nice for a meal. Real olf gaff in the middle of town.
Old Sarum castle is nice for a wander round. It's around 2 miles from town centre. Anything on at the playhouse? Ok, I'm starting to struggle now
