When people choose charities or things to donate money to, do they pick the most popular or something that actually relates directly to them?

This is controversial, but GOSH (similar to other well known charities) get a lot of money based on people knowing the name which could do good elsewhere...

well if it wasn't for GOSH i doubt i'd still be here. seeing as i spent my 1st birthday there with a tube up my nose to be fed with. so i would say its a worthwile cause.

My sis was in scbu having crap filtered out of her lungs for days, so it's a worthwhile cause to me.
